It's that time of year again -- time to celebrate how long it's been since the PGCB awarded licenses to Foxwoods and SugarHouse, and yet Philly is still casino-free. This time, we can celebrate three years' worth of victories!

And that's because of you.

We've done a lot to be proud of -- the formation of the No Casino in the Heart of the City Coalition, the founding of the No Slots Spot, our Beat the House action at Harrah's, the blockade at the SugarHouse site, and disrupting SugarHouse's groundbreaking -- and it's time to applaud our successes.

CFP's annual holiday party will be held on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 PM at the No Slots Spot at 718 Market Street.

There will be snacks, drinks, and a special silent auction. We've had some wonderful donations from local businesses -- including a free tune-up from Trophy Bikes worth $60, a gift certificate to organic food market Essene, a gift certificate to Headhouse Books, and lots more.

It's a great chance to get gifts for the holidays that help support Casino-Free Philadelphia's work. Check items off your list and help support sustainable communities in Philadelphia at the same time!

So bring your checkbook, your friends, and your party hat and we'll see you on Thursday! As with our previous two parties, we doubt that either Neil Bluhm or Ron Rubin have the guts to show up.
