Four gubernatorial candidates answer a question on casinos

Don't forget to vote in the primary election today!

But before you do, please watch this video of four prominent gubernatorial candidates answering a casino question. Most of the candidates pledge to veto legislation that would decrease the taxes on casinos -- something we anticipate politicians being pressured over the next four years to do. They also pledge to work to reign in casinos' predatory tactics.

Republican State Rep. Sam Rohrer has some interesting remarks, and most of the Democratic candidates seem to say they will be strong on this issue, though Jack Wagner admits to voting for the Gambling Act. We note that state Sen. Anthony Williams did not attend the debate, though he voted in favor of the Gambling Act, the 2006 amendments and the 2010 table games bill that allows casinos to grant easy credit and exempts them Philly's local smoking ban.

We certainly do not endorse any candidate and we provide this information for educational purposes only. Watch for yourself and see who you think gets it right.
